The García family built their reputation on Honduran tobacco, and My Father Blue is a clear expression of what their farms can deliver. This is a medium to full-bodied smoke that shows the depth of Corojo and Criollo leaf grown at Finca La Opulencia, their flagship Honduran estate. The Connecticut Broadleaf Rosado wrapper brings a subtle sweetness that balances the power underneath without softening the overall profile.

Construction: The blend pairs a Honduran binder with filler tobaccos from Finca La Opulencia. The wrapper, a Connecticut Broadleaf Rosado, adds a layer of complexity while maintaining the earthy backbone typical of Honduran leaf. The draw is consistent, and the burn stays even through the smoke, letting the flavors develop without interference.

Flavor: Expect an earthy foundation from the first draw, with cocoa and warm cedar developing as you move through the cigar. There is a gentle sweetness running through the profile that never takes over, just enough to round out the heavier notes. The finish is smooth, with lingering wood, light spice, and a sweet tobacco character that stays clean on the palate.

Pairings: Bourbon works well here, particularly something with caramel and oak notes. Aged rum is another strong choice, as is a robust coffee with some body to it. Each of these brings out different aspects of the cocoa and wood tones in the cigar.

This is a solid choice when you want something with presence and complexity but still approachable enough for a regular rotation. The balance between sweetness and earth makes it versatile across different settings.
